Jessica was their second child as they already had a son named Ben Jr. The two divorced and Jessica's father spent some time in prison and eventually was released starting a new life as a mechanic. However, her relationship with her mother was troubled so she moved in with her father creating a better relationship between Jessica and her mother. On occasion she would stay at her mother's house as she did on December 6th, 2014. Jessica took a nap at her mother's house and after waking up to a phone call and a short conversation she told her mother she was getting gas which would have taken her 10-15 minutes and that she would be back, but hours passed with no sign of Jessica until a couple calls 911 due a car fire and everything changes.
